Optimum Employment Options Program
Job skills training, one-on-one job coaching, and job placement are available to unemployed and underemployed individuals seeking employment in DeKalb, Rockdale or Gwinnett Counties. Classes are held for five days and followed by intensive job coaching and job search activities. Supportive services are provided for transportation, both public and private as well as for interview and career clothing.
Classes and the other services are scheduled for each Family Support Services Center by the employment team. Contact 770.564.1702, ex. 108 for more information.
Job Resource Center
In partnership with the DeKalb Family and Children Services, PCA operates the center that is located in the DFACS building at 178 Sams Street; Decatur, Georgia. A Job Readiness Instructor and two Employment Specialists are available to assist the clients that visit the center. In addition to conducting job searches, the clients receive assistance with writing resumes and preparing for interviews. The individuals that access the center, if eligible, may also receive assistance from the Optimum Employment Options Program.
