Employment Services

Job counseling and skills training services are available through the Family Support program. Family Advocates provide information and referrals to employment opportunities that are available through partners such as the Georgia Department of Labor and the DeKalb Workforce Center.

PCA operates the Job Resource Center that is located in the DeKalb Family and Children Services building at 178 Sams Street; Decatur, Georgia. A Job Readiness Instructor and two Employment Specialists are available to assist the clients that visit the center. In addition to conducting job searches, the clients receive assistance with writing resumes and preparing for interviews. Formal classes are also held for groups that need job readiness skills.

The Job Readiness Instructor also visits the Rockdale and Gwinnett Family Support Services Centers to assist clients referred by the Family Advocates.

AJC Jobs Kiosk

A Job Kiosk supplied by the Atlanta Journal Constitution (AJC) at PCA's main headquarters building on Covington Highway has over 20,000 job listings and on-line applications that can be filled out and submitted electronically.
